The US-China trade war entered into another level after announcement 100 % more tariff over Chinse goods by US president Donald Trump, from November 1, 2025. It’s now expected to boost Indian exports to the US.
The fresh trade and tariff tension between US and China may likely to benefit the Indian exporters, recent announcement of tariff hike by president Trump on Chinese goods make American buyers and importers to look for alternative suppliers.
In last financial year (2024-2025) India exported total goods of USD 86 billion to the United State, business experts say sectors such as Electronics, textiles and toys, could see good growth.
FIEO (Federation of Indian Export Organisations) President SC Ralhan said that the higher tariffs imposed on Chinese goods by the US could shift demand towards India and Indian exporters. He also highlighted the possibilities and potential for increased demand of Indian goods in the US market. “We may gain from this escalation,” PTI quoted him as saying.
Business Analysts analyzed that after these new US tariff on Chinese goods make them costlier, due to that Indian exporters could gain market share in categories where price competitiveness is very crucial. Currently, the US Imposed 50% tariff on Indian goods that also includes 25% additional tariffs.
